Entertainment in Hanoi

In Hanoi, while entertainment is not overly bustling and happening, there many location that one can have a good time. During the day visitors can go to the Water Puppet show from the Thang Long Water puppet theater right next to Hoan Kiem Lake. Groups of friends may find entertainment at the X-Factory, a newly open laser tag joint on Hong Mai off Bach Mai Street. Alternatively, they can go to the paint ball range near My Dinh area. This will definitely break a sweat and ensure a good time. Family can also check out the Circus on Tran Nhan Tong Street for show information. The West lake water park complex is also ideal for family to visit in the summer. There is also indoor water park and ice skating arena inside Vincom Royal City. For bowling enthusiasts, there are 3 places including Star Bowl (under renovation), Vincom royal city and MPEC tower (under renovation). For movie addicts, there are a number of places to watch newly released movies such as Megastar, Lotte Cinema or Platinum Cinema.
 
At night, visitors of Hanoi can go to a number of concerts. For common and cheap concerts, guests can check out the programs at the Hanoi Rock City. Many bands, both foreign and local book to have concert here. The American Club on Hai Ba Trung Street also regularly host outdoor concerts. For a more upscale type, travelers can go to the Hanoi Opera House for orchestra, play and classical music. The Cinematheque is the perfect place for art-films, with an addition of café and bar right inside. 
 
Last and definitely not least, there is a long list of bars, pubs and clubs for your entertainment. The most popular among foreigners and local alike is the stretch of Ta Hien where you can find bars and pubs of different style opening side by side. Here you can find cheap drinks and snacks with a compliment of live music. The new Zone 9 compound in Tran Thanh Tong Street is gaining popularity among youngster and hipsters due to its rustic feel of the old abandoned factory. All bars and pubs here are uniquely designed with great music, making its ambiance perfect to chill after a long day.
